Alexis Ajinca transitions to coaching in NBA G League

Previous NBA player Alexis Ajinca makes his instructing debut with the Washington Wizards' G-Association group, the Capital City Go, bringing nine times of NBA experience to supplement lead trainer Cody Toppert.


Alexis Ajinça is set to make his training debut with the Washington Wizards' G-Association member, the Capital City Go, this season.


 The 35-year-old Frenchman, who resigned in November 2021, played nine seasons in the NBA with the New Orleans Pelicans (2013-18), Toronto Raptors (2011), Dallas Nonconformists (2010-11), and Charlotte Catamounts (2008-2010).

 

Charlotte drafted him with the twentieth generally pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.

 

Ajinca is a previous D Association Elite player from 2010, and he likewise played in France with Pau-Orthez (2006-07), Hyeres-Toulon (2007-08), SIG Strasbourg (2011-2013), and LDCL ASVEL Villeurbanne (2018-19).


 The Capital City Go will be driven by lead trainer Cody Toppert. Ajinca joins as an associate mentor close by Devin Smith, James Fraschilla, and Liam Flynn.
