MILWAUKEE (AP) — Khris Middleton won't play Sunday against the Atlanta Birds of prey as the Milwaukee Bucks screen his responsibility in the three-time Top pick's return from offseason knee medical procedure.
Middleton played 16 minutes Thursday in the Bucks' 118-117 season-opening triumph over the Philadelphia 76ers. Bucks mentor Adrian Griffin said the group decided to rest him Sunday, the first of consecutive evenings in which the Bucks are playing.
Griffin said Middleton is supposed to be accessible for Monday's down with the Miami Intensity.
"This is simply being savvy and inclining him up progressively," Griffin said after the Bucks' Saturday practice. "He took part practically speaking today and looked great."
